Basics

Supporting our space

  • Teachers are responsible for keeping their insurance and CPR/First Aid cards current. When you update your insurance or receive a new CPR/First Aid card, please send a picture of it to Katie.

  • You may offer group classes and/or private classes. You are responsible for collecting the fees at the time of the class, noting it on the sign in sheet, and you will be billed at the end of each month.

  • Regularly scheduled classes are $10 unless you agree to take less. You may not charge more than $10. You will be assessed $3 per student in a regularly scheduled class.

  • Private sessions require reserving the studio ahead of time. Text or call Sharon (910-686-0853). Record private sessions on the sign in sheet. Record your name, date, and the amount of rent due to us which is 30% of your fee.

  • For your regularly scheduled classes, make sure your students sign in on the sign-in sheet with their first and last name, and encourage legibility!

  • Ensure that all new students sign a waiver form. If you don’t see an email address next to your student’s name on your rent notice, it is very likely they have not signed a waiver. Please have them sign a waiver the next time they take your class.

  • As in any yoga studio, we would like teachers to sweep the studio floors either before or after their classes. Students notice dirty floors because they are close to them.

  • There are lint rollers for the cushions or bolsters to keep them free of lint, hair, and dust. There is a mat cleaner for mats and Clorox wipes for blocks as appropriate.

  • Encourage students to return props, including folded blankets, to the way they found them.

  • Thank you to everyone who is emptying the trash or recycling bin when they notice that it is full. It would be helpful if we could all do this when we notice it.

  • We have Windex and paper towels in the bathroom so if you notice a smudge on the mirrors or window and have time, you can give it a quick wipe.
  • When you leave the studio, please leave the bathroom and prop room doors open for air circulation. It can get pretty musty in there, especially in the summer.
